Information We Collect
When you book a service or contact us, we collect: your full name, email address, phone number (including WhatsApp), travel dates and itinerary details, passenger count, and payment preferences. For customer accounts, we also store your booking history and saved preferences. We do not collect sensitive financial data — payments are processed through secure third-party providers.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to: confirm and manage your bookings, assign a driver and vehicle to your journey, send booking confirmations and driver details via email, communicate important updates about your trip, provide customer support before, during, and after your journey, and improve our services based on aggregate, anonymised feedback. We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Security
All data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Our platform uses HTTPS (TLS 1.3) for all connections. Database access is protected by row-level security policies, and administrative access requires multi-factor authentication. We use Supabase (hosted on hostinger in the EU) for data storage, which maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance.
Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and language preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile individual users.
Data Retention
Booking records are retained for 24 months after your journey for customer support and legal compliance purposes. Customer account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Your Rights
You have the right to: access all personal data we hold about you, correct any inaccurate information, request deletion of your data, withdraw consent for data processing, and receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@vario-travel.com. We respond to all requests within 5 days.
